heaven

I was shocked, confused, bewildered
as I entered Heaven's door,
Not by the beauty of it all,
nor the lights or its decor.

But it was the folks in Heaven
who made me sputter and gasp--
the thieves, the liars, the sinners,
the alcoholics and the trash.

There stood the kid from seventh grade
who swiped my lunch money twice.
Next to him was my old neighbor
who never said anything nice.

Herb, who I always thought
was rotting away in hell,
was sitting pretty on cloud nine,
looking incredibly well.

I nudged Jesus, "What's the deal?
I would love to hear Your take.
How'd all these sinners get up here?
God must've made a mistake.

"And why's everyone so quiet,
so somber - give me a clue."
"Hush, child," He said, "they're all in shock.
No one thought they'd be seeing you

Long Day

Today, we went to the Wildwood Metropark in Toledo with a Mom's group that I was trying out. Well, it was just great! All the moms were awesome and the kids loved it. After a long walk and a run at the playground, my babies were wooped. Here are a few of the AFTER shots.

~Enjoy~

Brodie sleeping with a blanket over his head. It is a roasty toasty day so that may not have been very wise.

Look at that sweaty baby! Aww poor thing! That is with the fan and AC....he is just a sweat ball.

Dakota passed out with a blanket also. Not 10 minutes before, I was hollering for them to stay in their beds. Kids!

My lil' thumb sucker.

Trip to the Zoo with Nana

We went to the Toledo Zoo last Friday before Nana had to fly back home and we had a BLAST!!! That is until the rain hit as we were leaving. That didnt stop us though, we kept on skipping our way to the car in the downpour! I love you MOM!

Dakota and Nana by the Asian Sloth bear.

Brodie watching the penguins from his stroller....the safest place for the lil' guy.

Dakota watching the penguins.

Dakota and Nana getting footage of the elephants.

Waiting for lunch.

Dakota "jumping" into place for a picture. Her hair was still moving :)

Nana and Dakota at the Lily pond.

Putting Brodie in the action too.

Us waiting in line for the carousel.

Sorry for not really any animals, I will get some up soon.
